Interventions
Mental Health and Human Rights
Considering the field of mental health, Paulo Amarante and João Arriscado Nunes propose new perspectives, globally and locally, mobilizing counter-hegemonic epistemologies from Brazil, Senegal and, in particular, the emerging knowledge of activism developed by users/consumers, survivors, professionals and allies. They discuss the relationships between experience, knowledge, struggles and human rights claims and their impact on the emancipatory transformation of mental health.
